| Firefighter Crystal Arel, a member of Rough and Ready Engine Company 5, received the 2026 Women Warrior Award from Military Women Across the Nation, 118th Chapter representing Rhode Island. This award was presented to her at an awards luncheon at the Quonset Officer's Club on March 26, 2026.
Crystal Arel is also a Patrol Officer with the Newport Police Department, a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and a member of the Rhode Island Army National Guard. She serves as an instructor at the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy and actively participates in numerous community support activities, functions, and organizations.
Her dedication to service is evident in her many roles and responsibilities, reflecting positively on herself, Engine Company 5, and the Warren Fire Department. |
